When Sherwood Steel was looking to relocate its business about four years ago, the Fulton Industrial Park in Rocky View County became an obvious choice for a new location.
Sherwood Steel has been operating in Alberta for nearly 50 years, fabricating and installing rebar and welded wire mesh for all types of construction projects in Western Canada and the Norther Territories. For more info: www.sherwoodsteel.com.
The company bought 2.5 acres of land in Fulton and set up shop there, moving from their previous location in the City of Calgary near Glenmore Trail and 52nd Street.
“We could see that Fulton was going to be an area that was going to be growing industrial area and there was already companies here so we chose here because we thought it would be an expanding area,” says Lois Munro, office manager for Sherwood Steel.
“And so far it is expanding. And it’s working out to the better for all of us here . . . The location is great. It was far enough outside of the city and we could get the appropriate amount of land that we needed, but we are only about 10 minutes from anywhere in south east Calgary. We chose Fulton because it was relatively close to our old location.”
